As I mentioned in past blogs where I suggested not to stress about New Year resolutions. It’s been well known that by the end of January for various reasons resolutions very often fall by the wayside.
Getting back on track is the key. By recalling the reason Why such activities did not work in the past can be the new learning. E.g., every January in the past if you invested in gym membership. Did you discontinue with attendance towards end of first month? If so, the reason Why may necessitate a review on the aspects of gym activities that did not entice or excite you.
Brainstorm on a blank page what really does excite and bring you joy. See how you can undertake this activity for the coming month but do not over-commit until you give such activity some time, e.g. a simple early morning walk consistently each day for minimum of twenty one days (which is the usual time to form a habit). Once the chosen activity is working for you and you begin to feel the benefits, then you will stick with it because once a practise yields positive and joy our progress will be consistent.
