Choosing a clear goal that excites you and stretches you even if it scares you.
• To gain control of your thoughts and become very clear on your desire/goal.
• The opportunity to develop the attitude of how I Can rather than how I Cannot.
• A change in attitude in dealing with Fear and moving past our road blocks.
• To become more confident in our own ability to take responsibility for where we are right now.
I suggested not to stress about New Year resolutions. It’s been well known that by the end of January for various reasons resolutions very often fall by the wayside.
Getting back on track is the key. By recalling the reason Why such activities did not work in the past can be the new learning. E.g., every January in the past if you invested in gym membership. Did you discontinue with attendance towards end of first month? If so, the reason Why may necessitate a review on the aspects of gym activities that did not entice or excite you.
It can be easy to revert to old ways of 2021 and keep going, pushing through each day, without allowing yourself a few moments to stop and digest where you are at. Whatever part of the day allows you to have at least five to ten minutes of stillness, quiet and peace, plan that time into your schedule and use it to focus on your breathing.
Three things
Start today and prioritize three actions you need to take to reach one step nearer to your goal. Chances are you have more than three actions to do today but which three Essential things can you do today that will help you achieve that goal? Remember you have Today, once it’s gone it’s gone and yes you can start again tomorrow but imagine where you could be in a week or a month’s time if you did three essential tasks every day towards your life’s dream/goal.
“Over analysis can lead to paralysis”, so why do we over-analyze situations? Always remember you are not on your own with whatever issue you have right now. You share challenges and imperfections with your fellow human beings. We all make mistakes, but always keep in mind worse things happen to others. You need to mind yourself and not beat yourself up.
