A survey carried out recently has revealed that 70% of Irish people make an average of two to three New Year resolutions as they ring in the New Year. However, the majority of those resolutions don’t even make it through the first week and by the end of the first month two thirds of them will be broken.
We cannot deny that it’s been a long winter, and not merely in terms of the weather. Sure, we’ve been having, hurricanes and floods, but the financial storms that gripped the economy made the climate seem to be “in step” with the economic conditions.
Cultivating the mindset of the endurance athlete and understanding the importance of physical fitness in reaching your goals, be they personal or business. It is impossible not to feel better and more empowered when physically fit.
When we get stressed our minds go into overdrive. There will always be a lot of demands on people and their time, energy and finances. Expectations can also be high so we start stressing. We must remember that this stress can cause a physical reaction in our bodies because our minds and bodies are very connected.
